About the company

Objective

Mining and Extraction Municipal Enterprise “Volynpryrodresurs” of the Volyn Regional Council was established in 2016 with the aim of exploring and developing mineral deposits in the Volyn region, such as amber, peat, and copper.

Our goal is responsible legal extraction to fill state and regional budgets. We strive to actively contribute to the social and economic development of local communities, particularly by creating jobs, paying rent, and personal income tax (PIT).

The enterprise’s activities take into account ecological, social, and economic aspects. We adhere to principles of transparent reporting, conduct ongoing environmental monitoring of our activities, and carry out reclamation of worked-out areas.

Outline of the licensed areas

Deposits of amber, peat and complex copper ores

Municipal enterprise Volynpryrodresurs is the largest enterprise established for the legal extraction of amber with a total licensed area of 51,524.7 hectares (515,247 km²), peat mining with a total licensed area of 6,364.0 hectares (63,640 km²) and complex copper ore mining with a total licensed area of 3,140 hectares (31.4 km²), covering the territories of Kamen-Kashyrskyi, Lutsk and Kovel districts of Volyn region.
