ME Volynpryrodresurs and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation


















On 26 June 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the mining Municipal Enterprise Volynpryrodresurs (VPR) and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The memorandum establishes systematic collaboration in the fields of geology, palaeontology, environmental education and scientific research.
The key areas of partnership include joint field research, student internships, exchange of scientific samples, educational activities, and more.

Representatives of the Faculty of Geology at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv attended the signing ceremony: Dean Serhii Tsikhon; Yaryna Tuziak, Head of the Paleontological Museum; and Leonid Khomiak, Associate Professor in the Department of General and Historical Geology and Paleontology. The memorandum was signed on behalf of VPR by the enterprise’s Director, Anatolii Kapustiuk.
Afterwards, the guests toured the Amber Enrichment and Processing Plant in Prylisne village, Kamin-Kashyrskyi District. During the visit, the university representatives familiarised themselves with the technological processes, the enterprise’s environmental standards, and the conditions under which amber research and processing are carried out.
“Knowledge gained in the classroom must find continuation in real-world conditions. ME Volynpryrodresurs is always open to dialogue: with science, with communities, with educators. We are open to partnerships built on knowledge, trust, and shared responsibility for Volyn’s resources,” – emphasised Anatolii Kapustiuk, Director of Municipal Enterprise Volynpryrodresurs.

The memorandum outlines joint field studies, student internships, the exchange of scientific samples and educational events as the main areas of cooperation.

On the same day, another Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between ME Volynpryrodresurs of the Volyn Regional Council, headed by Director Anatolii Kapustiuk, and Kniahynyn Lyceum of the Volyn Regional Council, represented by Director Olha Omelko.
