Розвідка та видобуток
Currently, on the territory of the “Zhyrychy” deposit, located 5 km from the line of demarcation of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, fortification structures have been erected and complete mining has been conducted, making any preparatory or extraction work at this deposit impossible. The demining of border territories, which was additionally carried out due to military aggression and the introduction of martial law according to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) and the Cabinet of Ministers (CMU), will not begin until at least two years after the end of martial law. Therefore, the development of the “Zhyrychy” deposit is delayed and postponed to a future perspective. Consequently, areas where there is a theoretical possibility to extract ore necessary for our country cannot currently be used for peaceful purposes. The development of the deposit requires significant investments and finding partners, which cannot be attracted during martial law.
