Offline Visit Supported by “ULEAD with Europe”

On September 13, ME “Volynpryrodresurs” met with representatives of territorial communities from Lviv and Zakarpattia. The offline visit, supported by “ULEAD with Europe,” aimed to exchange experiences among representatives of the territorial communities from Lviv and Zakarpattia, who are studying the best examples of creating new enterprises, supporting, and collaborating with businesses based on the experience of the Volyn region. The delegation examined the example of “VPR,” established by the Volyn Regional Council, which is engaged in resource development and budget replenishment at all levels. The guests witnessed firsthand the results of cooperation and budget contributions from Volyn’s territorial communities where extraction activities are conducted.

At the event, the head of the enterprise, Anatolii Kapustiuk, presented consolidated data on the results of financial and economic activities and discussed how the company managed to adapt to wartime conditions. This year, in the first half of the year, the enterprise exceeded last year’s performance indicators. The successful start of 2023 indicates that favorable conditions have been created for the development of the enterprise thanks to cooperation with local authorities and the public, as well as systematic work within the triangle of “government – business – community.”

Guests received answers to all questions regarding amber and peat extraction: depths of mineral deposits, job creation, material and technical support, cooperation, and contributions to local community budgets. The event also included a visit by a delegation to the Manevychi Factory of Briquetted Peat and to the Amber Factory.

The management showcased the results of their work and implementation of joint projects. Participants were able not only to see extracted amber and peat but also to take photos with exclusive samples of extracted “sunstone.”
